Come and Meet Wales!
The areas of South West Wales, Cardiff, Newport & South East Wales, Mid Wales, North Wales have come together as Meet Wales. After the decision by Visit Wales not to attend any exhibitions for the foreseeable future, the individual destination areas, together with Venue Cymru have made the commitment to exhibit as a group. Jo Evans, Business Tourism Officer for Newport & South East commented, ‘As members of Eventia Wales, we are all used to working together and we all felt Wales needed a presence at Event UK in these turbulent economic times, therefore Meet Wales is a brand we have created in order to represent us all’.

Event UK Show 22 – 23 September 2009
CARDIFF, Capital of Wales
Cardiff passed its Ashes with flying colours, proving that it is a perfect location for major events - from cricket to concerts - and the business opportunities that go with them. The impressive new £9.5 million SWALEC stadium worked for Cardiff’s debut as a Test venue, and the Millennium Stadium hosts many super groups, such as U2 with their 360 tour in August. On top of this, a new £30 million, 27,000 seat Cardiff City Stadium opened its doors for the first time in July 09. These world-class facilities, combined with more than 5,500 bedrooms on offer in the city centre, make Cardiff one of the UK's leading conference and event destinations.
